Aminata Conteh-Biger, Founder & CEO of Aminata Maternal Foundation sat in an interview with Georgie Abay of The Grace Tales to answer questions related to this year’s International Women’s Day theme #ChooseToChallenge.
Aminata is the perfect embodiment of how challenges bring change. Aminata shared how the challenges she faced brought change to her life and led her to her life’s calling.
“Aminata is one of the most joyful people you’ll ever come across, which is all the more incredible when you hear her story. If you have ever wondered how practicing gratitude can change your life, she’s case in point that it’s truly transformative. Yet, behind the warm smile, there’s a history full of heartbreak, but also inspiration, courage and love which she has documented in a memoir entitled Rising Heart book tells her life story.”- Georgie Abay
In this interview, Aminata talked about her life in Sierra Leone, the struggles she faced and endured when she was kidnapped, what “International Women’s Day” means to her and how she became an inspiration to women and everyone she cross paths with.
She also shared how her near-death experience in 2012 inspired her to embark on a mission to help mothers and babies in Sierra Leone.
